Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Times Square Goes to the Dogs: Fido and Friend Receive Free Admission on National Dog Day
Guest Appearance by “Beefy” the Skateboarding Bulldog
Every dog has its day…and at Ripley’s Times Square Believe It or Not! that day is on National Dog Day, Sunday, August 26. To celebrate, Ripley’s Times Square is opening its doors for the first time to canines and offering free admission to both dogs and owners to the Odditorium.
That day, Ripley’s newest sideshow performer, “Beefy,” the Upper West Side skateboarding bulldog, will greet visitors as he rolls throughout the museum from 12pm to 5pm showcasing his best tricks and unbelievable boarding skills. Water bowls and doggy biscuits will be stationed throughout the Odditorium for visiting dogs to recharge while exploring 18,000 square feet of astonishing artifacts, exclusive oddities, and interactive exhibits.
“For many people, pets are members of the family. It is time for Ripley’s Times Square to throw man’s best friend a bone and allow dogs to experience the odd and unusual world of Robert Ripley with the rest of the family,” said Michael Hirsch, president and general manager of Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Times Square.
To redeem free admission, owner must be accompanied by a dog. One free adult ticket per pet; discount cannot be combined with any other offer. Dogs are only permitted onsite Sunday, August 26, 2012, and must be leashed while inside the museum.
