Authentic Vampire Killing Kit On Display at Ripley's Believe It or Not! Times Square

New Yorkers and New York visitors fear not! With the number one movie in America, NEW MOON, raising awareness about vampires on the prowl, your guide to safety is on display right in the heart of Times Square at Ripley’s Believe it or Not!
New York’s most unusual and exciting attraction has an authentic vampire killing kit that was actually sold to superstitious travelers in Transylvania. The kit, which is over 150 years old and made in 1840, includes everything needed when face-to-face with a vampire. The kit is portable and includes an ivory cross, gun with silver bullets, a wooden stake, holy water and, of course, garlic.
“I’m still undecided on whether vampires are actually out there,” says Michael Hirsch, General Manager of Ripley’s Believe it or Not! Times Square. “I can tell you that I do feel a little bit safer knowing what’s needed just in case I come across one of these fearsome creatures.”
