Makes Its Television Debut in the Premiere of A&E’s New Real-Life Series
“Shipping Wars”
Episode Airs Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 9:00pm EST

For those who’ve ever stepped foot inside the lobby of Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Times Square, the 22-foot, 4,000 lb Steel Horse constructed out of stainless steal car bumpers made an impressive welcome. One of many massive oddities inside Ripley’s Times Square’s Odditorium, one must wonder – how does Ripley’s transport these exhibits to and from their attractions?
Master of “out-of-the-ordinary,” it comes with no surprise that when Ripley’s Times Square needed to ship its larger-than-life Steel Horse to Orlando, this transport would call upon heavy-duty movers that tackle the oversized, truly bizarre packages that traditional carriers won’t touch.
On Tuesday, January 10th, Ripley’s fans can catch a glimpse of what it takes to complete this unbelievable delivery on “Shipping Wars,” the new original real-life series on A&E, as independent shippers compete to win the job of shipping Ripley’s Steel horse and the high-stake race that unfolds trying to get the exhibit to Florida on time.
Each episode of “Shipping Wars” dives into the cutthroat world of these heavy-duty movers as they battle for the chance to transport the unshippable. The 10-episode half-hour series begins with back-to-back episodes Tuesday, January 10 at 9PM and 9:30PM ET/PT. See the preview.
